Quick Fold is fast. An operating speed approximately 2m per second and automatic controls ensure that the door is open the shortest possible time giving maximum energy savings.

Quick Fold is robust. Incorporating 10mm or 12mm thick clear PVC, it is able to withstand heavy, high frequency usage whilst giving maximum weather resistance.

Quick Fold is reliable. Existing doors have completed 300,000 opening cycles without failure.

For the shortest possible time, a bi-parting door will be specified. This opens from the centre with, typically, three of four PVC leaves folding to each side of the opening. Where doorway layout or space restrictions will not allow this, a unidirectional door, opening either to the left or right can be chosen. As a special option, it is possible to operate the two halves of a bi-parting door independently. This is ideal where high frequency two way traffic is using the door.

Its construction gives the Quick Fold door a number of advantages over rolling doors. Quick Fold doors can be specified up to 10m high and in widths of up to 16m. The absence of a bottom track and the ability to create an immediate full-height opening minimise the possibility of vehicle damage often experienced with rapid rolling doors. The clear PVC leaves are suspended from interconnected turn arms and a strong inter-sheet link gives maximum stability in extreme weather conditions. The outer sheets are also anchored to the side of the door structure, whilst a brush system between the turn arm and the track effectively seals the door into the opening, further enhancing energy savings.

Quick Fold doors use 100% clear PVC, giving the added benefits of maximum light transmission and see-through safety. The turn arms are suspended from steel sliding track mounted in the door head and are moved by a powerful 3 phase motor/gearbox unit using a heavy drive chain system. A built-in control system ensures that the door always closes properly behind the traffic.

A Quick Fold door is a free-standing unit and does not demand changes to the building structure. It is simple to maintain and can be fitted either internally or externally, or in conjunction with any kind of security shutter or door.
